This morning was about inspiring everyone to shape and share their collective stories of resilience, hope and joy together.

We hope it worked!

Recap from Nick

Itʼs taken a few days to process but now Iʼd like to share a little something with you all.

My tale starts with: Friday morning I got up at 5 am to be a part November Project ( at this point you may be assuming this a fictional story but I assure you this really happened ) – but sporting a Nikon - not a sweatband.

Being a part of this particular morning event was important because it was a truly special day for Steven. A day that was a culmination of several years of dreaming and planning.

One of his visions since the world went sideways was to find a way to spread hope and beauty on an EPIC scale. A grand gesture that would bring joy to a large group who in turn could go into their own communities and continue the ripples of positivity. This was in conjunction to his new passion project of a complete health care revision.

These 2 things, in addition to the rest of his incredible journey, has made him the subject of an upcoming documentary.

Now add the absolute perfect opportunity to create MAGIC with his very important November Project Canada community - and the documentary crew there to capture it.

The scope of what transpired will be his story to tell. I was just happy to be there to and witness the workout and then the crowd of over 300 smiling (and a little sweaty) faces gathered in a field proudly holding up their Csorba sunflower prints - creating a garden that was breathtaking to behold.

Steven did it !!!!!
He made the dream real.

I tear up every time I remember this moment.
So proud of him.
What. A. Day.

And then…
I end up in front of this crowd. A bouquet of sunflowers in my hands.
And Steven is speaking but Iʼm not really hearing him.Iʼm just watching him take his late motherʼs change purse (one of the few keepsakes he has of her ) from his pocket, and as he opens it he begins to kneel down.

And just like that – at 6:45am on a beautiful Friday morning, in front of 300 folks that just ate hills for breakfast, with

No words. No smartass comeback. No witty retorts. Just a nod.
I became engaged to Steven Ernest Csorba.

Fuck yeah (Sorry for the language ma)

Here’s some suggestions on how to tell your story after you give your “extra print” to a friend.

  • Take a photo of your friend and the sunflower print you gave them. Remember to smile really big!

  • Why did you give it to that person? (Describe the person, who they are and what they mean to you)

  • What is their story of resilience, how did they grow hope, compassion and the spirit of others in difficult times.

  • How did you feel when you gave your sunflower print to your friend? Where they surprised? How did they react?

When you’re ready to share on social media please use the hashtag #happyonthehill
